Before you get started, please be sure to always check out these documentation files. To install this theme you must have a working version of WordPress already installed and configured on your machine or server. For a detailed guide on installing WordPress, please visit the WordPress Codex installation documentation.

Installation

Upload via ftp:

• Step 1: Firstly, unzip the zip file you downloaded from ThemeForest to a directory on your computer.
• Step 2: Locate an archive named petenica.zip which is your installable WordPress theme file.
• Step 3: Unzip this archive and upload the petenica folder to your server via ftp to the /wp-content/themes/ directory inside your WordPress installation.
• Step 4: Activate the newly installed theme. Go to Appearance > Themes and activate it.

Important note: If using FileZilla as your FTP client, please make sure Binary transfer mode is used. To do this, while in FileZilla, go to Transfer > Transfer mode and make sure Binary is selected.

Upload via WordPress admin:

• Step 1: Log into your WordPress admin
• Step 2: Go to Appearance > Themes panel
• Step 3: Click the Install Themes tab
• Step 4: Click the upload subtab
• Step 5: Upload the petenica.zip

Activation

Once you have uploaded the theme, activate it in Appearance > Themes.

If any plugins not activate please activate it after installing from plugins manually

How do I use the Sample Data?

In your downloaded file, locate the folder called SampleData.

Within this folder you will find your sample data file(s).

• Step 1: To upload and import the sample data, log into your WordPress administration
• Step 2: Browse to Tools > Import
• Step 3: Enable the WordPress import tool and follow the instructions for importing data from an xml file.

After the import is complete you should have all the posts, pages and custom posts from the demo.

There are certain things a WordPress import can not do, so after uploading the sample data make sure you do the following:

• Go to Petenica Options to setup your theme options or import as figure below
• Go to Appearance > Menu to set your menu locations.
• Go to Appearance > Widgets to add your widgets (widgets aren't included in a WordPress import file)
• Go to Settings > Permalinks and configure your permalinks structure (Select Post name).

Overview

The Petenica WordPress theme comes with the following custom page templates. If you have skipped sample data import, we advise you to create each page, for a complete experience of the theme:

How to create a new page?

• Step 2: Insert a new name for your page, then find the Page Attributes box on right side.
• Step 3: Set your Parent page; it's usually set to No Parent.
• Step 4: Set your template from the dropdown list.
• Select if you want to show the breadcum or title or tweet slider before footer as in figrure below
• Step 5: Click Publish.

In addition, the Petenica WordPress theme provides the Shortcodes:

Page Builder

You can select the Shortcodes from the Visual composer

Use these short codes on full width page it is recomended.

To make full use of the rich set of features provided by the Petenica WordPress theme, you must configure the theme options.

To begin configuring theme options, go to Johunt Options.

General settings

The general settings tab allows you to upload your custom logo, custom favicon and to select the theme color scheme.

Changing the logo

• Step 1: Click Remove button to remove existing (default) logo.
• Step 2: Click Upload and select your own logo.
• Step 3: Click Save Options and wait for options to save.
• Step 4: Go to front-end and hit F5 to refresh the page.

Team Member

Pet

This theme uses the built in WordPress menu features. You will find the admin in Appearance > Menus in the WordPress admin dashboard.

Header menu

The header menu of this theme is the menu displayed in the top of every page. To build it go to Appearance > Menus and in the right hand pane in the field labeled Menu Name enter the word Primary. In the section labeled Menu Structure drag all the pages you wish to appear as menu items. This theme supports nested menu items in the Primary menu so feel free to nest pages if you like.

Once you feel your menu is complete don't forget to hit the Save Menu button in the same panel.

Before you menus will work you need to configure them by clicking the Manage Menus tab on the same admin page. Under this tab make sure that your newly created Primary menu is selected as the Primary Menu and your newly created Footer menu is selected as the Footer Menu. Hit the Save Changes button when done.

This system is generally designed for Pet Shelter Orgnization or Pet Rescue Firms. Under Pet Menu you can manage your pets, you can add, remove, delete and update pets.

Pets Lists

You can view all the Pet lists by going to Pets -> Pets

• Title: Name of the Pet
• Adoption Status:
• Yes: Pet Adopted
• No: Not Adopted Yet
• In Progress: Adoption Application in Progress

Adding New Pet

Only Admin and Editor Roles can add the Pet Pets -> Add New Pet

Delete a Pet

Only Admin and Editor Roles can Delete the Pet Pets -> Delete

Edit / Update a Pet

Only Admin and Editor Roles can Edit the Pet Pets -> Mouseover -> Edit

Pet Adoption Approval

Go to Pets -> Mouseover -> Edit Radio Button Change to YES and then click on the Update.

Pet Adoption Application Rejection

Go to Pets -> Mouseover -> Edit Radio Button Change to NO and then click on the Update.

E-mail Alerts for Pet Adoptions

• Settings: All Email alerts send and recieved on Admin Email Address, which is saved under Settings -> General



• Yes: Pet Adopter will get an email from Shelter.
• No: When Application is rejected.
• In Progress: Adoption Application in Progress

This form allows the visitor / people add their pet using Frontend Submission Forms (FES).

Process: People / visitor fillout the form, Admin will get an email for new pet adding request, Now Admin will able to accept / reject Pet Adoption listing. On acceptance or rejections on both status submitter will be notified via email.

Disabling FES Button: WP-Admin > Theme Options Panel > Header Top > Show Submit Pet Submit (On / Off)

Disabling FES Form: Simply Remove the Shortcodes from Page
